Interested but looks like there's no way of messaging you as it doesn't give the option. No worries. Hope all is well mate.
Ah. Think it should be working now?

Yeah, I reckon it'll depend on just how each person's foot matches the fit of their shoe and where any resulting folds are.

Lupus?

Is that the one where you grow hair, big teeth and claws every time it's a full moon?

Re: Speedgoats

I'm currently using SG4s. They're OK except that the material used in the shell is quite "stiff" so where it flexes around the joint of my small toe it has cracked. I've already bought replacements and I'm opting for the Challenger ATRs I used previously.

I had to Google "All Seeing Eye". I'm perplexed as to how it could be mistaken for a US Dollar symbol. Or vise versa.

Re: Stolen Goat buy Wildcat

FWIW I think most cycle clothing is boring so the SG stuff appeals. I already have some of their stripy socks. It's time we were able to get a load of flouro gear again.

Judging be the press release I'm expecting another Alpkit.

Doubt you'll run much from Croftown/Inverbroom to Loch an Fhiona. 400m climbing in 1.5Km. At least you won't be pushing a 'baggage cart'
Wrong track!

Re: HT550 2023

Scotty Laughland has just uploaded his latest on YouTube. It's the Dundonnel - Poolewe route that features on the HT550 and many will recognise the area from photos.

I've yet to complete the whole crossing, though I'll be running it (yes - not taking a bike) in August.

Weird. They've been around for years but someone at Flip-fuel obviously has a marketing budget and isn't afraid to use it.

Re: Threads per inch

(a) The 120tpi Nate is a much more supple beast than the 60tpi equivalent. I'd not hesitate to pay the extra cost.

(b) The 26 x 4" tyres may well be on the same carcase as the Nate and will actually be the same dimensions. Difficult to say without actually measuring one though.

What's the advantage of these over a flat disc? They are pretty much bomb proof and weight next to nothing. Should be stronger than a flat disc. Plus I thought they looked nicer!! My mate says they have been working perfectly, no poles stuck in mud or sand and he hasn't broken them even when trod o...

Re: Mystery Garmin Maps

You've come to the right place  Calling Mr Barter to the forum!!! FWIW I've tended to use the OFM versions but they only update the UK map from OSM once a year (usually around March/April) so I've ended up using Komoot a lot more. Edits I make to OSM usually appear in Komoot within a fortnight ...

Re: Hub question/problem ?

Is the lockring rubbing against the dropout? I've seen this happen just due to manufacturing tolerances and I'm not too sure how the Alternator dropouts are set up for standard QR axles. I've also seen a cassette installed with a spacer when it shouldn't have been and the lockring just being able to...

Firsts? Let me take you on a trip down memory lane.... (swooshy visuals). First camping trip; too young to remember. As a family, camping was our regular holiday. Sometimes on official sites, sometimes at the roadside, sometimes in what I would later discover were tinkers (travellers) regular stops....
