Re: Revelate spare buckles

Of the three camlocks on my Revelate Harness, only one is still complete. It doesn't seem to affect the function of it though. Replacing them would mean unstitching (or cutting) two of the straps so I've never bothered. I guess the straps on the Pika are under more pressure though?

Aww man, that's sub standard. I can only hope that there's a quick fix and you're back up and running (well pedalling) soon.

Re: Bivvy a Month 2021

September "in the bag". I'd planned to head out today (Wednesday) as it's the Equinox but I need to be at home early tomorrow morning so it was "last summer night" instead. It was hella breezy when I left so I headed for the old building at Baileguish as that would offer some she...

A Bluto service kit - all the way from Germany as that's the only ace I could find stock.

RAF MVP trousers. My plan was to cut them down for use as waterproof shorts, but they're absolutely massive in the leg width/arse too so they'll be going back

First of all, my must prostrate myself in public apology. You contacted me to ask about routes and I didn't respond. (a) I thought your request deserved a "proper" response so put it off unti I had time (b) I had it in my head that I had more time to respond (c) there is stuff going on at ...

I'd have liked an explanation for the weird headtube design (that also rules out off-the-shelf forks).

Still, I thought they said B+ was dead?

FWIW

Abellio have just placed a tender for someone to convert the existing Edinburgh/Glasgow to Inverness/Aberdeen trains so that they can carry between 12 and 20 bikes (depending on number of units).

You're far from the first to have cracked an Arch Mk3 rim. I'm still using the earlier version of the Arch without any problems.

Re: Useful Side by Side Mapping / Aerial Website.

I use the National Library of Scotland mapping pages for this. They are particularly good because they have a wide range of historical mapping, showing old tracks and buildings. They don't just cover Scotland though the most up-to-date OS mapping is from (IIRC) the 1960s. Thankfully, the hills don't...

I've used that one for a few years but it used to run out of OS tile allowance in the evenings (there was some sort of limited license being used). I don't know if that's been resolved.
