Not sure if it wasn't mentioned here, but Passport cycles have very attractive prices for bikepacking bags.

On the picture - maybe, but in reality the middle section is more close to Small Block 8, only outer knobs are bigger.

Very nice tyres in X-king style (I think they are discontinued so on sale), measures 39~40mm in reality, weight ~400g...

Re: New cx bike help req

I had Genesis Croix 2014 bike with custom carbon fork, size 58 frame was 2.3kg and could take not more than 38mm tyres. I'm currently building a Pinnacle Arkose - simillar geometry, but space for 42mm tyres + very nice internal cable routing. Alloy frame is 1.7kg + 0.8kg fork

It's a 1x10 setup, so cage is long enough, but I'm putting Deore XT for better performance.

Re: Anyone have just a cx bike no mtb?

If you need a do-it-all bike - look for steel adventure/gravel bike which can take 40c tyres. Most CX bikes are race oriented, so not that comfy for long rides. I had a Cannondale CX and rode BB200 - it was hard, switched to custom Genesis Croix de Fer and it's much better off road, still good enoug...

Disc cyclocross, or so called trendy adventure/gravel bike that has room for 700x40mm tyres - more than enough for any terrain....

Re: WRT. I'm getting nervous

I've imported BB200 '13 gpx file on top of grid refs and it is covering most of the points, or passing them very close. Then couple of hours adjusting to those points and route is ready.
