<blatant-ad>

We can supply our Hoolie with either 650B+ or 29er wheels (although we sell it as B+ normally). It's Boost.

Re: Highland Trail 550 - the book

I've been lucky to see a lot of the images from James's collection of the HT550 (Russ from Shand is doing the layout of the book) and they're superb. Really stunning. I think it'll make a cracking book. In fact we used one of James's images on the background of our stand at the NEC this year : https...

Re: Another 'would it work'

It certainly can be done. I've done a few but they are a royal pain in the arse. I usually fixture up the frame on one of our horizontal milling machines with the old headtube still on. We can use the old headtube as a reference to indicate that we're not changing the angle or top tube length. We th...

We'll have a Stooshie with pair of Lauf Grit forks at the NEC Cycle Show next week if anyone's who's not seen them in the flesh want to have a look.

Re: Rohloff build. Bolt on or QR?

Yes, there's always been a threaded axle available (and there still is). There's some more info on the A12 system here : https://www.rohloff.de/en/products/spee ... index.html

Re: Rohloff build. Bolt on or QR?

There isn't a bolt-thru Rohloff hub available. There is the Rohloff A12 which is compatible with *some* bolt-thru frames but this isn't available as an aftermarket product. It's only available as an OE product on some bikes <cough>.

I'm keeping an eye on Emily Chappell who's back to do it this year after having to bail in last year race due to a wee health scare. Looking good so far (she's riding number 7).

Re: Rear triangle bent, ideas to repair cost?

Steven, that would be fantastic. Should I arrange a day to bring it up or just drop it off when I can and how much should I strip the frame down to? Ray. Just bring it out and leave it for a day or so. If you can completely strip it (no BB or headset) I can put it on our alignment table and make su...

Re: Rear triangle bent, ideas to repair cost?

Ray,

your profile says you're in Edinburgh? If you want to bring it out to us in Livingston, I'll take a look for you. No charge if we can tweak it back into shape without too much trouble (which I'm sure we can).

DD Hammocks/Tarps??

Hey all,

anyone have any experience with DD Hammocks?

http://www.ddhammocks.com/

Never heard of them before. Seems pretty good value. I think their combo bivi/hammock looks fun!

http://www.ddhammocks.com/product/dd-travel-hammock

although maybe a little heavy (900g).

Hey, I've put these up on the webshop with some really sub standard pictures. Since this post was a wee bit on the spammy side, anyone purchasing a pair of those bars can use the discount code at checkout of 'BEARBONESROOLZ' and get free shipping. http://shop.shandcycles.com/product/shand-one-flared...
