I think the most surprising and impressive gig I've seen was recently. Nitin Sawhney playing the whole of his album Beyond Skin at celtic roots festival in glasgow. its an album I've listened to a lot over the last 20 years. He seems to be able to play any instrument and has written and composed vas...

Re: Who Owns England?

I recall that one of the potential issues with shooting moors is land drainage. I know there's calls to fill in the drainage ditches and allow them to revert back to upland bog - something which should have a positive impact on flooding. I believe Hebden was one of the places mentioned? There’s loa...

I’m thinking 1350 with hope headset and BB. both 300 ish miles old. Alp kit frame bag with cutout for upper bottle. Alp kit ‘gas tank’ top tube mounted bag. Both bags are adapted with carbon fibre strips and bolt into the covered bottle bosses. Meaning fewer straps. Also a couple of scruffy but usea...

Testing the water really, I'm fairly sure this will be for sale but not 100% yet. Well thought out, designed and all that but not really doing it for me and the TD will not be anytime soon for me. Maybe it should go onward to fulfil its destiny with someone else?? Size Large, silver/blue colour. Bla...

Oi! Team Fitz is an elite setup with only one member. Some of them schools have 1200 kids.

Also I’m only on there as I set up the registration forms for them and tested it with my own details. Then forgot

Still, looks like a nice beach I’ve stopped at, may visit for real in the summer :-bd

What are the donor cartridges? Those tall thin ones that look a bit like standard aerosol cans?

Are they recyclable?

Sounds interesting but I’m not keen to generate more landfill for the sake of saving a few quid.

John is well plugged into the various Peak access groups etc. He’s led some brilliant work with various land managers to get legit access and trails upgraded too.

Screw top pans...

I just spotted an advert for the Vargo bot a pricey screw top pan. Sounds like a good idea and something which is genuinely useful.

A quick search hasn’t found any, erm, ahem, replica or tribute versions.

Does anyone know of something similar. Other metals would be ok too

Good luck with them. I had to cut one of the keyed ones off as the mechanism had broken and know of two combination ones that have failed.

I’ve used Bing and toggled between is and Ariel.

I find that not having the gpx track is good as it makes me study the map far more. Obviously is slower and not so convenient
