I would have liked to have done this but I organise the Edale skyline fell race which was postponed due to heavy snow in march and is now on the 29th. Ill be at Edale village hall for most of Saturday so if anyone wants water or maybe some snacks then call in if you are passing!

John I don't think the rules are firm. It's for you to interpret as you wish.

How wide is it? And how do you attach the camel back to it? I've not found a way to carry water that I'm totally happy with.

Re: Pennine BW end to end - tomorrow!
Slarge it was indeed the cow fields at Wormhill that had the super sticky mud. Hideous! I've had a restful day or so since and feel ok after the ride. Managed to get quite a bit of of the new build done all I need now is rotors, shifters and cables; all of which are ordered and on the way. Managed a...

Re: Cross Bike Questions?
If you want cable calipers there are another brand that are good. Helpfully though I can't remember what they are called.
Simon at 18 bikes in hope has a set on his bike and rates them. Give him a call and ask what they are. He'd be more than happy to tell you about them!

Re: Cross Bike Questions?
Ive done similar. You need a 9 speed mtb rear mech to work with 10 speed sti (cable actuation rates) Crests/arch will be fine I've run 25-40mm tyres with and with out tubes on my 29er crests (arch are the same profile, just an extra level of stiffener in the profile) If you want to keep your levers ...

The BB route GPX library
I just sent some GPXs to johnnythunder that he asked for. He suggested that we start a library of GPX files. What's the easiest way to do this? I don't think I can upload them from my phone but I've got: Mary Townley Loop Pennine Bridleway - Middleton Top to Settle. There's obviously plenty of other...

Re: Pennine BW end to end - tomorrow!
Fail! It didn't quite work out how I had hoped. A catalogue of school boy errors, and some minor misfortune... I ended up leaving Middleton Top at 13:22 on Wednesday, due to working until late the night before, and packing in the morning. Ended up leaving tired after not much sleep, hungry and weari...

Pennine BW end to end - tomorrow!
I'm setting off from Middleton Top tomorrow late morning. It's a "not-done-enough-training-for-the-BB200-so-am-going-to-do-a-ride-that's-probably-too-long' sort of ride. Planning on under three days but if it gets too hard then will amend my plans. But just to put myself under a bit of pressure...

Re: CX TT / size question.
I have an one on dirty disco small frame 525mm TT. My giant full suss 26er is 570mm TT. They have the same distance between seat and where my hands spend most of their time (hoods on the drop bars) I'm 5'9" and also a longer legged person. I'm happy with how both bikes fit but if being super fu...

Also FS: alfine 11 on crest 29er, versa drop bar levers
Clear out continues.... I have an alfine 11 hub built on a crest 29er. It's not done many miles <300 I'd guess. The rim is ok bar a couple of small knocks, it has a minor wobble but still holds a tubeless tyre no problem. It will come with the cable guide and all the fitting bits that came off that ...

FS: Coleman tent, klymit mat
Have a Coleman 1 man tent sitting unused. Been slept in a few times but is in good condition. It's the exponent kraz x1. It has a fair amount of useful space by 1 man tent standards and is higher at one end so can be say up in! Claimed weight 1.65kg so not super lightweight but good as a starter ten...

Can I make a gpx track with my SPOT?
I got a SPOT a while ago, mainly to check in with those at home when out and about.
I paid for tracking etc. but I'd like to be able to create gpx files. Does anyone know if/how this can be done? The spot website isn't that helpful...

Re: Suggest a 2 or 3 day ride for me...
Ian - the lakeland 200 does appeal, especially as it is longer/harder than the BB200. Then again it would appeal as you've done everything else ;-) that said i do go to the lakes quite often and have ridden quite a lot of it at one time or another, it's b*****y good though! in terms of average speed...

Re: Suggest a 2 or 3 day ride for me...
Thanks all. Some good suggestions above, am sort of tempted by riding the bb, but am worried that i'll find it tough over 2/3 days and scare myself! Although it is the sensible option as aside from visiting elan village I've never been on any of the course. I'd also thought of 'round the MTL via PBW...

Suggest a 2 or 3 day ride for me...
I've got a few days booked off work and family duties in early September. Thought I'd do something along the lines of last minute training for the bb200. I've a few ideas but am being indicisive! So go on, suggest a route for me. I'm based in Sheffield but will happily travel by train or car, but wo...

Re: Thrmarest Neo Air All Season
I'm typing this whilst lying on an xtherm. It is projecting crazy amounts if heat back at me! Can't wait for winter... Racekit had them at a good price. A while ago anyway. I've also tried, and still have, a klimet frame skeleton mat thing. Quite comfy, but best if you are a back sleeper. I am too w...
