Re: Helmet camera reccomendations
I've got an Akaso Brave 7 LE. It's weather resistant without a big case on and the video/sound quality I great for the money. It comes with a whole host of mounts and getting clips off the camera with the free app is a doddle.

Re: Igaro D2 or Sinewave revolution
I had a C2C which stopped working so I sent it back, got another one which was also patchy. It might have been lost in translation from German to English but the message I got back could be paraphrased with "user error, bugger off and never darken my doors again".

Re: Kids bike sizing -24/26
I'd say get the bike that fits him now. Decent kids bikes arent cheap, but you usually get your money back on them. I'd echo this. If you're worried it won't get a lot of use then get a second hand one. I personally wouldn't want to potentially put off my daughter from riding with a bike that's too...

Have a look on Amazon for Garmin Renewed. They are factory refurbished and are the innards from returned units put into new cases.

I'm almost tempted to have a look and YouTube is very keen as this this cropping up in my suggested videos. Then again, as Scotroutes has mentioned he's a twit of the highest/lowest order and doesn't deserve the oxygen of attention. As Bowman sank without trace because of supply, rather than demand,...

Re: Warm gloves - but not too cumbersome
As an aside have we done 'usb heated gloves'? Cant remember where I ran across these and never heard of them before so don't know the details other than you plug them in before use. I don't know if you need to ride with a power bank on each arm? https://bikerumor.com/review-sealskinz-waterproof-hea...

Re: Cafe/shop locks for Bikepacking
you've now made the theft of your wheel really easy is someone really going to walk up to your bike and just try to steal the front wheel? if they are the maxle is hardly going to be beyond them. i Your forks are only three bolts [ if you cut cables] Probably not, but it is an additional downside t...

Re: Cafe/shop locks for Bikepacking
Take your front axle out, that'll stop anyone riding away on it & also difficult to push away. Costs nothing! Add a small cable lock to secure it to something if needed. This is a good idea. :-bd Can someone start a "What 6mm allen key?" thread pls? Apart from having to find somewhere...

If you have £3k and the desire for a lightweight "proper MTB" tyres and drop bars then a Salsa Cutthroat has to be worth a look. Either new from Keep Pedalling or there are a couple on eBay that might be the right size/colour.

You've articulated by own thoughts perfectley there including the use of Komoot. STW have all their subscribers routes in Komoot and recently tweeted a link to a collection of "free gpx" for gravel routes that also happened to be komoot. So free as long as I'd already bought the maps in k...

Thinking about it, but after the Tour Divide I might have had enough of sitting on a saddle for a while, so am seeing how I feel.... I did it twice before doing the TD and haven't done another multi-lap race since. Mike Hall was there at the last one I did and his bike still caked in New Mexico dus...

Re: Bike insights comparison, are they really so similar (Ramin vs rocky road)
I cannot believe that a company, with their reputation, would simply plagarise other bike manufacturers Not sure if this is missing a 😉 or not but Planet X did have three frames on sale that were identical to Alpkit/Sonder offerings. So much so they even used the Alpkit website images as silhouette...

I bought a Lumix TZ 95 (I think, a couple of hundred quid anyway) and unless you were needing to use the extremes of the Zoom lens it was worse in every way compared to either my Huawei Mate 10 Pro or Samsung A71. I've recently bought a Samsung S21 Ultra. It's waterproof, has a proper 3x and 10x op...

I think they've all sold out pretty rapidly as they came into stock.
I definitely saw at least a second run that had a different paint job.

Big USB battery pack and a lead? I ran my diablo from a 2.6ah usb battery and it was fine. As it's only for a single night...I already have a Joystick but wouldn't trust it for much more than 4 hours, even on low.

Re: Top tube bag for bolt on OR not
My new salsa one does both :-bd The Salsa one I have (their original design) has the bolt holes but it puts the bag too close to the stem! Consequently I have just punched another pair of holes through. As long as the bag is made of a decently stiff material, or can have a loop around the ste...

Re: If you were to buy a E bike ??
The new Orbea Rise Hydro looks good to me. If there's a motor helping you might as well have full suspension. Its battery is as big as some "full fat" eBikes, while the motor has been turned down a touch to keep it efficient/nimble and able to use standard MTB parts. https://www.mbr.co.uk/...

Re: Full suss vs rigid 29plus
And I do need to experiment with and perhaps man up when it comes to tyre pressure. I guess I'm quite heavy at 14 stone and hate the squirmy feeling I seem to get with anything less than about 30psi in my 2.6 and 2 8 rangers. 30psi is about double what I'd run on my Krampus and 10psi over what I'd ...
