Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
The lengths that the bike industry goes to instead of just making a slightly bigger hole in rims for a schrader valves never ceases to amaze me.

Re: What's better than a Fitbit but not too complex?
If his tablet is android then a Samsung 'Fit' of some sort would do if you can install the Samsung health app. My daughters is still going strong after 4 years and the battery lasts days. I'd suggest a Samsung watch if the above looks like it would work but it'll need charging daily and that might b...

Vaynol Arms was good when we went in February, which is handy as apart from the Curry house (which was also good) in Llanberis nowhere else was open/doing food.

It can be a problem for some.

The pillow of his (reinforced) bed is filled with building rubble and his beard is so tough he shaves with a blowtorch.

Isn't the arrow pointing towards the cleat that clips into the bottom of the case? Is the ribbed bit a flexible extension and the metal tab at the other end bolts to something? Is it one for a motorbike instead?

Five Ten Trailcross SPD would seem the obvious choice if you like/fit Five Tens but want laces and some flex. Also on bargain blowout across the Ashley Empire.

Back Country Navigator.
I paid about £12 in 2015 and have reinstalled it on each new phone I've had since for no extra cost. You can download OS maps locally to your device in all scales. There are all sorts of maps for different countries.

Katadyn BeFree works well as it's more of a pouch. No problems drinking straight from it but I usually decant into a regular bottle. I wouldn't want another rigid filter bottle as you'd end up filtering everything whether it needed it or not as as noted above they aren't as easy to use. The katadyn ...

I always put a screen protector on, I don't think gorilla glass and the like is up to many thousand gritty finger swipes. My wahoo had one and that wasn't even a touch screen. It still got tatty rattling about when removed at cafés and so on. Fresh film on the screen and you realise how scuffed the ...

The section between Southwold and Lowestoft could be straightlined through Sotterley and you wouldn't be missing much.
I know a chap who did the section between Bury and Ipswich the other day and it was an utter mud fest so another reason it's not a year round route!
