Typical UK mentality now though....... appeasing the masses I dunno if the 4x4 crowd are 'the masses' vs walkers and mountain bikers but in any case this example is in Wales and the Welsh Gov have been rather down on new roads and curtailing drivers so promoting driving through the countryside seem...

The section between Southwold and Lowestoft could be straightlined through Sotterley and you wouldn't be missing much.

I know a chap who did the section between Bury and Ipswich the other day and it was an utter mud fest so another reason it's not a year round route!

NB and on a side note (and mods please feel free to delete this comment) but I find it incredible when people - not necessarily us - can mention Lachlan Mortons emissions/CO2 cost but don't give a sh*te about the amount of CO2 the tonnes of bombs that the current genocide is creating. We'll see - the entry questionnaire still required you to have an instagram account, even though it doesn't get used for tracking. So I just put a gobbildigook name in and I think I got some of the questions wrong... That's a hard no from me then. Shouldn't have to tell someone why they shouldn't b...

The other issue with nuclear being the cost and time to build, putting it out of near-term strategy. This comes alongside old plants going offline/being decommissioned. Just look at Hinckley Point C, started 2017, commission date 2029-31 at best. The cost overrun means an increased cost per MWh, no...

Those Pirellis work a treat on those WTB rims, I had the same on my old Jamis Renegade. As mentioned, with WTB rims add at least 3mm to the number in the name.

Out of curiosity, how do 'scrathers' get back to base? Control car, or just tour a direct route? Bike unceremoniously lobbed on a Dacia Taxi roof rack seemed to be the way in the 2020 version. Thanks for all of your replies. I think in conclusion the tandem will be better for commuting and road stuff (which will probably suit us more often) but the weehoo better off road. Is it wrong to want both? and also, don't forget a spare tube for the weehoo! Not sure I'd find a trailer latched ont...

I had a big dummy which was great, front wheel in the panniers and towed the bike on a QR mount on the rear deck and child in the Yep seat. Tried using a trail gator but it was just heavy junk and proper faff to use without scratching everything imho. I'd use it only if both bikes to be joined were ...
