Re: New (carbon?) wheels
If you’re Peak based, I can recommend 18bikes in Hope as a wheel builder. I’ve had several sets built there- using dt 240 hubs and they have all been great. One set has done nearly all the bb200 events and 1 3/4 HT55Os and is still going strong.

Woolie Boolies again here-long lasting and warm and can usually be found for a reasonable price online.

Another vote for brand x ascend here. Proved much more reliable (and cheaper) than the reverbs I have used in the past.

Re: What do you recall from your 2 days (BB200s)
My two most vivid memories are: 1. My GPS failing on my first go in 2012. I then realised the paper maps I thought I had in my jersey pocket had disappeared! I bought a new map in Rhayader and used that to finish. 2. Getting very cross when I got stuck in a fence around a pheasant enclosure towards ...

Re: Flat shoes - recommendation
Vaude moab stx are my current favourite winter flat shoe/boot. They are waterproof and give good pedal grip. Only issue is walking in them on anything slippery as they have a completely slick sole, not ideal for the wet moorland round here! Best I’ve found though overall.

FS: Salsa Cutthroat XL 2x11 SRAM Rival
I am selling my cutthroat as I am not riding it enough to keep it. It is in good condition and has not had a hard life. It has had protective tape on most wear areas since new, so is cosmetically good, with just a few superficial scratches on the forks. It is the stock rival build and red in colour ...

Another vote for the patagonia nano here. The pullover version packs down smaller if you can find one-I think they’ve stopped making them?
