Re: Who’s appreciating riding their bike?

Definitely appreciate it, but due to work and having my youngest at home 24/7 I struggle to get out in the daylight currently which a little frustrating, but given the current situation still appreciated.

This time of year is normally my favourite after the clock change too :-bd

Re: Is a full lock-down coming?

I am struggling to see what the exit strategy from all this is going to be though. Lift restrictions a bit, enough to keep the number of new cases within ability of health service to cope. Scarier is that if a home test is developed to show if someone has had it, and this allows them to get back to...

Today was new bottom bracket bearings day, again.
All 3 of my bikes are clicky creaky from the BB area after the wet winter months. Very annoying but still spin freely so they can stay there and click away.

(yes, I have taken everything else apart and eliminated.... well on one bike...)

Re: closing national parks, and imposing fines?

Plenty of cars parked in laybys round here. Not rammed like it would be in this weather normally but busy enough to be sure that its not just locals popping up the hill.

A few walking groups of 3 to 10 people out too.

Guess they'll have to lock us in if they want us not to travel as a society.

What is it please Stu?? Tis gorgeous indeed... As Richard says it's a Pine Marten. One of the mustelids - the other British ones are otters, badgers, polecats, stoats, weasels and mink (technically that last one's an invasive species). The Pine Marten is the natural predator of the red squirrel. Wh...

I think I have a set of cane creek levers I could dig out, they're not shifters though. Want me to have a look or are you sorted now?

Ive been enjoying a bit of clicky/creaky so popped out the bb and copper slipped the threads and offered the sealed bearings some grease which the diddnt seem to want or need.

Re: Gravelywanger frame options?

I plumped for a set of spanknvibrocore bars i found in a sale. Theyre 20mm shorter reach on paper. Big difference i must say, lots better. The flared position is weird as ive not tried it before, but im sure I'll get used to that. Next step is to pop on a 7 degree rise stem, still 70mm long. I suspe...

Re: Err, drivetrains cost how much....

I spent a bit of time pondering 9 speed box components last night. Wonrring if it would last any longer in the peak grit.

Then my mind turned to singlespeed so I backed out of the garage before that happened to my broken road. The kit is just sat there...
