I've seen the 94.something a couple of times now so am confident its there or there abouts. Still slowly creeping towards...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

Is there an iphone version or alternative to explorer helper? You know, a live map position overlayed with tiles? I've used Maps.me in the past - you need a .kml file to show the tiles and then overlay onto a live map. Works on Iphone and Android I believe. Cheers, thats worked. *I think someone ha...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

Sorry if I have failed to find it in the thread somewhere but, Is there an iphone version or alternative to explorer helper? You know, a live map position overlayed with tiles? My work has provided me a phone now so I didnt get to choose. I used to really like the helper to check if I'd made it into...

Re: Is a Fargo unique?

Dave I have to say I love my ti Fargo, it is a mountain bike but does a great job as a monster cross type tourer too. Mine is set up for my dodgy neck so probably wouldn't be the position most would opt for - but I think Paul G in hathersage has one . . . For when meeting up is allowed again. Shona...

Re: Blown xt piston

My experience of Shimano warranty on brake failures is the opposite. Had an XT level fail (clamp to lever casting) and RS505 sti fail (casting cracked at the hose port). Both times I was accused of mullering it and told to buzz off. The warranty goes with the shop first then the importer. I just gav...

Re: Is a Fargo unique?

I always fancied one of these Shand drop bar Bahokies.... https://www.shandcycles.com/shop/bikes/bahookie-rohloff-dropbar One day i’d live to run my Rohloff with a belt drive. It had completely passed me by that the drop bar bahookie was different geo than the flat bar one. Obviously that makes per...

Is a Fargo unique?

Well, firstly... I know it’s not really the only one of its kind. The Fargo geo is very different from most gravel bikes, dare I suggest a little more tour orientated. Very high stack compared to a lot of bikes, about 80-90mm higher, sometimes more. I’ve spent ages looking at other bikes and frames,...

Re: Dangerous dogs

Geese are easy - pinch your thump and fingers together in a sort of beak shape and point towards the goose / geese. They will think its a really big goose and back off. A goose owning friend taught me that. I thought she was winding me up but it does work! I'm not having that.... But am looking for...

I've avoided doing much riding in the heat. over about 22 and I suffer, or go really slow. 2020 peak mass 109.7 Start of thread 21/02/20 - 104.70 Last week 18/06/20 - 96.0 This week 26/06/20 - 96.1 SO about the same, I don't think 0.1 matters. I've read quite a bit about folk having electronic shifting woes in long distance events. Guess if its free kit, it gets used.

Great race, really strong rides in there too. Impressive.

You could likely fit a small custom bag, or something like a 1.1L wolftooth bag. Not sure you'd get a bladder bag in there
