Re: is this a daft question - two quilts

Sounds like the same theory used for years of supplementing a sleeping bag with a down jacket. Youre just usjng quilts instead.

I find with quilts i need a more insulated matt than with a bag, but given that you own 2 quilts i suspect you know that side already

My personal plan would be to bivi, just cos it'd be nice to do so. Be nice to all start together but I'm sure we don't all need to stay together the whole ride.

Ah, the classic 'we're not serving food but could do a bit of salad' which turned out to be one of the best seafood platters ever.

I agree re seat pack and thoughts, looked interesting for commuting with a standard light as well.
Didn't mean to sound too dismissive, definitely an interesting concept for a rear light. Not sure I personally am ready for it though

Re: Xlite 100 Smart Rear light

Interesting concept. I'm always skeptical of 'smart' things that are also cheap things. I kind of like to turn my light on, see it on, then ride and know its still on without wondering what its up to back there  Having said that, the technology in it is likely pretty simple. Also, the mount is...

Nordest Sardinha steel frames on sale at 399 Euro or 574 Euro with a fork.

Good value at that price in my opinion. (ML frame weight on mine was 2.75kg) so a little over the stated.
