so its fat bike territory, I assume that a 'normal' 4" tyre type will be the way rather than the monstrous 5" breed
More likely to get a trailer to work then

Re: The post man's been ...
Autumn !! Summer plus 100g overfill as I tend to sleep hot. I'll bring a space blanket incase it's not warm enough, but after a long chat with Matt at UK Hammocks it should be ok. If it's not then they will add some more down for me at a later date. I'll be interested to hear how you get on then. I...

commuter lights?
Can anyone reccomend a good value front light. Its for my wife, she needs it to be self contained, so not a separate battery. She needs to see by it, not just be seen as she sometimes rides down some gravel bike paths. It also needs to be quick release so she can whip it off at work. I only have exp...

FS: Rohloff Hub / 29er Wheel
I am looking to sell my Rohloff wheel or hub alone if needed. I bought it march 2013 . But, it has only covered about 2500 miles max I would think. Its in very good / excellent condition. (Cost new, £1050 ish - I bought it from Just Riding Along near sheffield.) Colour is Silver (polished) 32 Hole, ...

Re: Looking for a more breathable bag
I'm experimenting with an MSR AC bivvy at the moment. Lightish (450g), supposedly breathable, waterproof, has a mossie net built in, roomy My intent it to use it without a tarp. I'll be in it this weekend with no tarp. I need to get more use out of it before I comment fully on its performance though.

Where did my reply go?
Sounds great rich. Plenty of notice to save up.
Do you have a destination on plan? Or looking generally still?
Greenland?

Would a small wildcat seat pack fit on the stockers stem?
(I have one you can fiddle with)
Bigger pack for the stokers post.
bar bag and fuel bag for the pilot
Off the shelf frame bags for the 2 small triangles. Custom for the big one?

sorry to hijack the threat a little. But does spot automatically renew your subscription after the first year or do you manually have to do it? I've snooped around their site but cant see the info. edit. Found it. Apparently they do auto renew. http://faq.findmespot.com/index.php?action=showEntry&am...

can anybody recommend a small flask
For hot drinks / soup? I'd like a very small and very light one. I could take the pot and stove but in more thinking for ease on longer day ride outs. I know I can get a generic stainless one but my experience of these in years gone by has varied greatly so thought someone might have already done th...

Re: Stuck in the mud
a short while ago on a ride with mark and karl, my krampus on 3.0's stopped dead in the mud. The two other guys on about 2.2's 29ers rode through it. I had to clear it out 2 or 3 times.
So no, bigger tyres wont do it.
Proper mud tyres help as the shed better, but can still pick enough up eventually.
