Re: Highland Trail 2015
Quick trawl for an opinion. I might have gone into this before. Whats the opinion on rigid versus suspension? I currently ride rigid forks with a 3" tyre. It works pretty well and is a good option for the winter I think. However, at the back of my mind I keep thinking of suspension forks for th...

tiny packaway rucksack
Can someone please remind me which of those tiny little packaway rucksacks are any good?
Be nice to pop some squashable food in one of them on the occasional shop stop.

Re: HT 550 route advice
Thats a good call Alasdair
CG loop, even just the outer is lovely.
I did work out a shorter section, like 140miles taking in a lot of bits of the HT550 a while ago and ride most of it over a long weekend, but, it wasnt as good as the CG loop

Re: Spot Armbands
Not seen them, but Ive just drawn up a bar / top tube / frame mount.
I'm trying to get it printed out of a new and interesting material we've been trying out at work but the build process is proving tricky.
if it works, i'll show it and look at getting more.

I try to manage the level of discomfort I'm willing to endure
Sometimes its a lot, sometimes not so much. I pack accordingly.
If I get it wrong, suck it up or ride on.

Re: T/T ring? What chain are you using?
PC1051 on the 1x10 here (e*thirteen 34-T ring). 2000+ miles on the ring, 1000+ miles on the chain. I run an e*thirteen guide to keep the chain where it should be. Very few problems. I've heard good things about Blackspire and North Shore Billet rings but not used them myself. Greetz S. Actually, my...

Re: T/T ring? What chain are you using?
I've done lots of miles on raceface t/t or n/w or whatever they call them with Sram Chains. PC1091 chains have dont lots of miles, using new ones on new and part worn rings. Also have a new 1051 chain on a very worn race face 30t n/w and it works fine, though seems a little noisy. I do use clutch me...

Re: Long Shot - Adult Trikes?
Bit of a long shot I know but does anyone know about or could point me in the right direction for adult tricycles. The reason I ask is because I have a disabled friend who is interested in buying one. He is limited to a budget of £400 max. For this price the only trikes we can find are mostly off A...

Re: What's wrong with these rims?
I'm always very wary about rims with no eyelets. Stans specify a much lower max spoke tension than many rims. Its something decent wheel builders will know or check. Or if you're building yourself you just need to be aware. I've done thousands of miles on arch's, never a problem with the rim. Just ...

Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
I was all by myself, I started from blue john, headed over mam tor, which took ages. Knee deep in places, cant see the path at all. I was going to head down to castleton but since its not all that well known to me I dropped down the edale side. Got a bit further on and couldnt see the bridleway at a...

It was originally due in the last quarter of last year, now... not sure. Although we expect an update soon we dont have one yet.
I would hope not too long but really don't know. 2015 is a safe bet I'd think.... I'll update here as soon as I know more, or feel free to get your mate to contact sam.
