Re: Car Roof box - takes push bike?
You should probably stop worrying about mpg... It is a big V8. If you wanted mpg, a diesel Octavia / superb / Passat / beemr estate would have been wiser,no?

Re: Car Roof box - takes push bike?
Biggest box's seem to be about 215cm x 95cm x 43cm a standard EVOC bike bag is 138 x 85 x 36 cm So, in theory with similar or less dismantling, a bike should go in. I wouldn't, personally. Taking a bike apart to fit in a roof box isn't my idea of fun  Also, best part of £500 plus Rails and fee...

Can anyone point me to a Dummies Guide... to suspension forks...? https://media.bobarnott.com/gravel/2022-10-06-rockshox.jpeg You didn't mess about getting a fork. Ultimate SIDs look lovely. https://enduro-mtb.com/en/setup-guide-mtb-suspension/ This should explain, in case you fancied a guide. When...

Rectangular top tube bag?
Does anyone know of a pretty rectangular top tube bag? It strikes me as the best place to carry my phone, which is also my camera. Obviously it's a fairly big phone, unfortunately most are. It's not a crazy 6.5" beast tho. I have an old apidura top tube bag and my favoured older revelate one. B...

Re: warmer winter leg wear?
I recently got some Pearl Izumi Summit Amfib Lite Pants. I thought they may be a good autumn option, but they are far too warm to wear yet. I bet the non lite ones are really toasty. Supposedly soft shell, but bet they will wet out if it rains for too long. Deffo warm though. They wrent particularly...

Re: Sticky BB
Silky smooth? No notchyness ?
I've certainly had bbs go stiff in the past, they don't usually come completely back to life tho, at least not without some sign of notchyness
Want any help figuring out what it is?

Re: Seat Pack advice please
Apidura 4.5 back country may work https://www.apidura.com/shop/backcountry-saddle-pack/ A revelate shrew will highly likely fit, though this is even smaller than the above at 2.25l but it's great. I have one. It fits my waterproof jacket (size xL paclite), a tube and a few tools and a big flapjack. ...

Re: Rear rim issue
Hi Mike. I use a Fun Works rim which have served me well. Not sure where they are available after brxit, but probably are. https://www.fun-works.com/fun-works-atmosphere-28-xl-rim-29-black-31682 Stans Flow (I know a few arch's had issues, mine included) should be good. For bigger money, Lightbicyle ...

What a place to live (and work) mate. It may not be true, but if lived somewhere like that, it is possible I would not leave my property again  Cheery Friday, not massively, not a lot going on here either. Work, but a decent bike ride lined up for tomorrow so thats something to look forward to...

FS Brompton 3 speed Bike - SOLD
My wifes Brompton bike. 3 speed gear hub. Its rather tired, but these bikes are very expensive and for someone with the inclination this could be a nice tidy project. With the exception of a split rear tyre and the built in rear light, its fully operational, pedal bearings are rough as nails though....
