winter trousers-whos wearing what??

Having just brought so winter NW Celsius boots after 15yrs of cold feet, ive also realised i need winter trousers that are gonna keep out the cold and wet. Been looking at the Altura attack X winter trouser, anyone use these if so any good?? Or are there better recommendations to be had please

im using a rab quantum 250 right through yr other than when its really cold then i get the PD600 out, its light weight packs down small. this bag kept me dry on snowdon summit in the damp cloud for a night i woke up it was soaked however i was dry inside! no good for a second night tho once wet

@99percentchimp, have u a gpx of ur route i could nick please. And im guessing that the Lon Las Cefni is on Angelsey. My friend has been up there and said it has some nice riding? Fancy a trip up but wouldnt know where to start.

fixing a anything cage to my forks with a jubilee clip??

Has anyone tried this ive got a 'anything cage' which im gonna use on my fork however iv no bosses as its a fox float so thought what the hell ill use a jubilee clip? anyone tried this and would it be recommended...the engineers amongst you will prob not agree :0)

George fisher are selling rab alpine bivy bags at 90quid down from 165 just brought one myself seems like a bargain event to so should be waterproof and way big enough

Hi Chew, i have been looking at maybe the borrowdale bash route, or theres a route from Chapel stile area that ive done in past taking in some of the north face trail too where i found a huge cave/old mine that could be a good spot if crap weather, im off to climb Teide tomoz but back fri so will av...

yeap brought a msr ti kettle from states thinking id saved money then got stung by royal mail for handling fee?? WTF!! so actually could of brought it in the uk for cheaper....lesson learnt there!

lakeland bivi anyone interested in feb

Ill be heading up to the lakes about 10th to 15th feb to see the GF. Im gonna take my bike n stuff and get a overnighter in somewhere in that time. Anyone around and free up that way and fancy joining me then get intouch, no route planned yet but will work on it asap.

i had to use the cheap ex army bivvy I've got tues. it was really cold but i suprised that i had no moisture in it what so ever shame its so bulky n heavy....my only reason for wanting to spend more cash on one had the hunka but wasn't that impressed with it in the rain?

gari that would be fab offer, im leaving car at oban fire stn then feery to outer hebs-ullapool via torridon to fort aug on the 400trail then ill be doing the two cairngorm loops for a week, 4 weeks in total bike packing should be fun. Ill be starting 22-4 till about 17-5
