Re: Bear Bones 200 Route Details.

If it's any help, I used bikehike and took a series of screen shots (with the OS map toggled to the large window). Pasted and cropped in MS Paint, printed those out, worked a treat. Bit of work but very happy with results.

Re: BB 200km: Accommodation

ok I kinda guessed that may be so re pubs. Just looking for somewhere that serves man sized meals and quality ale for the sunday night, but that could really be anywhere along the route back east I suppose, within an hour of the finish. So I'll widen the search and see what turns up! Accommodation f...

BB 200km: Accommodation

Hi

Looking for recommendations for accommodation Friday night and Sunday night. Can be anything really. Prefer bricks and mortar, but somewhere to camp if there's nothing else.

Are there any decent pubs in area?

Cheers!

Re: Bikepacking v Touring?

Yeh I think that's pretty much it. I cycle tour a lot, more so than any other cycling these days. Although I am definitely no stranger to mountain biking, but usually limited to the usual trail centres etc. The attraction of bikepacking is completely different to that of cycle touring. With traditio...

Re: BB 200 Kit List

I'm new to this, although cycle tour a lot (on road). I haven't slept in a bivvy or tarp since army days some years ago, usually use an ultralight tent. I am slightly intimidated by some of the kit being listed on various sites/forums etc. This is just 24hrs in the hills right? :D Won't be making an...

Re: lift form london to bearbone 200

Heading from Norfolk if that's any help. Just me and my kit in a car.
Shame it isn't south wales else I would go London way, so as a suggestion I could pickup from Cambridge train station?
I'm heading out along A14 all the way to the M6 and across to Telford (M54).

Not sure if that helps or not :)
