Sorry that I can't play this time.
I'll try and bivi on 24th as its international bivi night, but it will be close to home.
Family things mean I need to be home or very close to home quite a bit at present

If there's budget to consider then it's hard to see beyond an XL Alpkit Hunka. I say XL as they offer quite a bit more room than a standard version which allows you to place your mat inside should you wish. XL Hunka for the money But I moved to this and won't go back to a hunka XL now https://www.b...

Re: Have tarps lost their popularity?

So for me a tent loses that connectedness with your surroundings. Same for me, Bob. If I wanted to zip myself away from the sights and surroundings I'd use a hotel or a bothy room. Tarp for me, but for longer trips when there is a hance of poor conditions I find my Luna Solo is the perfect compromi...

Apart from a light weight frisbee (see above) I love my nemo tensor insulated regular wide sleeping mat Wide and deep enough for comfortable side/front sleeping and getting many more hours sleep a night If I can have a second choice it is a 50mg Sleepeaze tablet taken 30 minutes before laying...

A frisbee. Take one on every cub and scout camp for fanning the fire, sitting on wet grass, eating off, keeping headtorch/watch/phone together in the tent, keeping a book dry and many other uses. Mine is yellow and a proper weight for actually playing frisbee with. Gecko, I doff my cap to you. I st...

It's easier especially in confined spaces than a snozzly, plus it's not likely to split and ladder like ones of mine did while out and about.

I wonder if it will inflate a packraft?
Yes if you are happy to wait.
I have the larger one for my packraftz and it blows it up on just over a minute.
This woukd take around 5 minutes I guess

All new Flextail Zero air pump

Saw it on my social feed, and didn't like my current pump as I felt that the nozzle connection is a bit flimsy.
