Re: The Welsh Ride Thing - Lonely Hearts Club Ride - Sat 4th May to Mon 6th May 2024

My question, why isn't john opening the 3rd. Thanks Karl and Reg :-bd I chatted with Stuart about it and it was agreed that three's a crowd. The last WRT LHC that I lead has turned into a great gang of riding mates, with daily WhatsApp banter and several group rides a year too. We are riding our LH...

I can highly recommend any newbie to Bear Bones, to the WRT and to bike packing in general will have a brilliant weekend of riding with Reg.

He's one hell of a character and will guarantee a weekend to remember, that's for sure.

Re: Aeroe rear rack thoughts

As said above use a torque wrench and I wouldn't do it on a carbon frame

But I liked my Fat Aeroe rear rack so much that I bought a normal one.

Even when not in use I still leave them on the bikes

Re: WRT GR's

Cheers Stu, now trying to plot on a map (digital Reg, sorry) So the utterly rubbish OS app doesn't allow you to add GR's to a route - does anyone know of something that allows me to plot all the GR's then create a GPX pf them all and straight lines between them, which I can edit? I plot them on Gri...

Asking for a friend. Is anyone from the Harwich, North London, Cambridge area heading over to the WRT this year and if so do you have a spare car seat, room for a bike packing bike and kit for a friend who's coming over from Holland via the ferry into Harwich? It will save him one heck of a long rid...

If there's budget to consider then it's hard to see beyond an XL Alpkit Hunka. I say XL as they offer quite a bit more room than a standard version which allows you to place your mat inside should you wish. XL Hunka for the money But I moved to this and won't go back to a hunka XL now https://www.b...
