Re: Fat Fighter 2025 - The Year of the Fat Slob

I dropped from 13st 11.8lbs in early June 2025 down to 11st 8.2lbs this morning My 32" waist trousers now need a belt, whereas in late May I was thinking of buying some 36" jeans. All of my 34" jeans are in the loft now (just in case) I don't want to drop too much, but may try and hit...

Re: What, no Mad Cow Weather thread??

No real problems getting out of Merseyside to Wigan to pick up Sam Walsh, even now.

So Friday morning should be no problems at all for the drive down to mid Wales

See you all (who can make it) on Saturday morning.

PS our route is going within sight of just one GR which we will see several times

I did start off with Charge Spoons/scoops but moved to Brooks.
For £15 they have to be worth a shot again I guess

Saddle recommendations

After loosing 2 stone in weight I'm finding that my Brooks Cambium C17 are not as comfortable as they were when my bum had more padding.
So, please can those with skinny bums please tell me which saddles fit your bums for comfortable, long mileage rides on your hard tail bikes?

Re: Winter Event GR

So being a newbie, I've started looking at route options, but does this text from the event info: "have a fixed destination(s) which gives each event its unique name … how you reach it is down to you." ....mean that there is a destination to reach on Saturday night, or does it just refer ...

And this on route to one GR doesn't look friendly, plus tihere's no bridleway through it either https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54225164694_e7818345b5.jpg I'ts OK officer Stuart authorised us to ride up ...

Re: Love them or hate them - Outdry - at long last

Pissed off update. I sent these trousers back for swap stating this clearly from day 1 of my return, they are in transit back to Columbia as I type this. Columbia this afternoon now tell me that they don't exchange, and that they will credit me back the cost, then if I want to buy them again I just ...

Very happy with my Bear Pit tarp overy Sierra Designs bivi bag set up (see reviews)
But if the forecast was prolonged rain then it's either the Six Moons Luna Solo or the Weirdos on bikes shaped tarp for me

Update, after a very pi$$ed off reply back to the contact there, I was sent a UPS collection label to send them back FOC.
God knows what's going to happen to them once they get back and how long they will take to make the call.
Hoping for a quick turnaround and a new trouser sent in replacement.

Re: Love them or hate them - Outdry - at long last

Little update from me. Last weekend we walked to a mountain hut in Snowdonia and back in Storm Darragh. It was nothing technical, just a bit blowy. I got home and found this little hole just below my right pocket https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54192358780_a7281f4186_b.jpg I don't catch it on an...

Re: Global Fat Bike Day with Storm Darragh

It was a great weekend, with 80mph gusts (one nearby tipped 96mph according to the news) means our plan to walk in was the correct call.

Here's my film from the same trip arriving a couple of hours after Les and Kevin.
