Re: Train ticket tips

Mike, my daughters do a fair few journeys to and fro uni. They use ticketsplitter. Its often cheaper to buy several tickets rather than one from home to final destination. Ticketsplitter does the hard work for you (apparently)..

Re: 2 wheeled adventure of a different kind.

'Adventure' is a pretty serious business these days, so I was delighted to discover the Monkey Run and more so, to discover it had an ethos I could easily embrace. For those who don't know and why would you, the basic format is a self supported journey across some wild (properly wild) places, with ...

Garmin Edge 520

The screen is perfect, some very small marks around the plastic screen edge. New port cover added recently. Will accept open maps as a download, very similar to OS maps.
Cable not included but its just a micro usb.

Fizik Arione r1 vs evo BNIB

Just received this direct from fizik as a warranty replacement for my kurve which broke :???: Unfortunately the kurve is discontinued and they thought this was the closest to it. Just looking at it it's not for my arse so it needs to go to pay for the new brooks. It brand new, still in the fizik box...

Most excellent and much appreciated Sean. Are you happy to provide the Bovey to Princetown route Dave? I would have to make one up and I think you did mention that you had one... Cheers, Si Yep. Re: I think I can. Can I?

I was thinking if I used an exposure usb charge lead with a piggyback connector connected to the red-eye cable either connected to a power bank or to the k-lite usb charger?

I think I can. Can I?

The Exposure redeye runs off the output from a Revo etc. The Revo output can also be used for charging. I assume the Revo converts for DC to AC (think that's the right way around). So can I run the redeye from a power bank? That way I can just swap the rear light between the dynamo and non dynamo bi...

I've got a mk1 Ti. Absolutely love it. Run it with both 700 and 650's for more off road work and it's never missed a beat. Very comfortable and in 700 guise weighs in at 19lb. No problems with durability even after I stuffed it into a wooden fence post yesterday at close to 20mph. Bike came off bett...

Re: Do I 'need' a fat bike?

I picked one up recently and I'm hooked. Already have a 29er that also runs 3" 650's but have always been fat curious. Admittedly its a light fatty, 11kg. Its seriously fast, floats over stuff the 3" one rattled my teeth on. Only a fraction slower up hill but over the course of a ride its just as if...
