Quilt query
Looking for some advice on quilts. I've pretty much decided on the Revelation X having read the write ups on here, questions are, Reg or Wide, 20* or 30* both with overfill? I don't like being restricted by sleeping bags and at 6'2 and proportionately wide I fancy the idea of a quilt. I don't do win...

Bike packing envy
Recently some friends set off for a bit of a ride. In essence, 12 months of bike packing to celebrate early retirement. They've been away before, cycling all over the world. This one is the tour of tours. They started in Alaska and are basically following the weather. They are running a blog called ...

Klymit static V. I'm 6'2" and needed a longer/wider mat. Imported from the USA, very happy with it. Packs small and light.

Re: Wet the bed.
No, although it crossed my mind. My feet were soaked from the dew and mist.
The Borah looks the business. I take it you've got the 1.1 DWR? Did you get one with the hood option? And do you need the extra long zip?

Unfortunately I was under a tarp which makes it worse.

Wet the bed.
Used my Rab Survival Zone for the first time last night on Dartmoor. Bivi'd in thick mist and woke up soaked. Not great in a down bag. Not only was the inside of the bag wet (I guess from not breathing) but also my feet were soaked where they had been out all night and the water had come through. On...

Re: Which Waterproof gloves?
Thanks, not considered mitts. Looks a good option for off road, not sure how I'd get on with the road bike commuting to work braking and changing gear? Do they have enough movement in them?

Which Waterproof gloves?
As my dog has just eaten my waterproof gloves and I need some more!
I've had several various makes and never really been impressed with any of them.
What do you use/recommend?

Rab Demand or Montane Minimus??
Looking for a lightweight packable waterproof. I think I've got it down to the two. Both have the same hydrostatic head and similar breathability. Both can be found for similar prices. I have found the Rab locally to try but not the Montane so it would be a blind purchase. Does anyone have any exper...

"All the way from America"...and brought me a Klymit crush pillow and klymit Static V sleeping mat. In response to my search for a wide lightweight mat it seems to fit the bill. Very pleased. Pillows nice, light (!) comfortable and versatile. Now if only the weather would dry up a tad I co...

Looking for a wide sleep mat
At 6'2" and proportionately wide the standard 50cm sleep mats aren't wide enough. Looking for a lightweight wide map that won't break the bank.
I've seen the klymit static v, seems a good buy. Anyone got/seen/used one or any other recommendations?

My Garmin Dakota 20 is for sale. It comes complete with the box, leads, instructions, 2 bike mounts and a 1:50 Southern England and Wales map card (worth £120) Fantastic condition and has always been used with a screen protector. LOST GARMIN WRT
Having spent the week checking and rechecking I can't find my Garmin Dakota 20. Last seen in the field at the end of the WRT on Sunday night. We bailed early and it was on the bike when we hit the field. Don't recall taking it off so it's a longshot. It could be anywhere between there and Devon. Jus...

WRT ROUTE, PANIC TIME!!
Having spent the last few weeks planning my route of an evening I've tried to load it to my Garmin and it won't work, in fact it's gone! I don't have time to re-map it with work commitments this week. ANY chance someone could send me a GPX route, please? Not a huge distance, looked similar to DAN K ...

Thanks. Any experience of the solio classic? Been offered one by a mate. I see the power monkey has a bigger battery capacity.

GPS charging on the go
I need to find a way to charge my Garmin Edge on the WRT. Considering either a solar charger or some form of battery pack possibly running off AA's.
Does anybody have any advice or experience of either?

Re: What GPS?
I've got a Dakota 20 with AA batteries. Seems to eat them, even the lithium ones. Bar mounts ok, but interested in the above inner tube mod. How does that work?
