Re: Never legal to wildcamp on Dartmoor?

I do wonder a little what effect this is likely to have on those who arrive late, leave early, abide by LNT and aim to be as 'stealthy' as possible - after all, not having a legal right to wildcamp hasn't stopped people from doing it outside of Dartmoor  My sentiments exactly. Do both sneaky ...

Re: Bivvy a month 2022

JimmyG. If you've not tried Cramond Island a bit further down the coastline I recommend giving it a go. It's tidal so you need to take that into account. I usually get there around 7pm. Several gun fortifications to choose from but I find the smaller ones on the NE of the island the best. I reckon I...

Do you really need a trailer for a small dog? Why not a basket up front or on a rear rack?

Re: Which side of the track are you?

If both sides of a double track are equal riding wise I almost always find myself riding on the right. I too have previously pondered this and couldn't come up with an explanation.

Returning from camping in Argyle and Bute on Friday we took the scenic route which happened to take us along the Kite Trail. Two Kites spotted directly in front of us within the first five minutes and another four over the next twenty minutes. Fantastic.

Crosstalk.

The wife and I are away camping. She asked me several times "have you put the pegs in?" to which I replied in the affirmative only to find out at the campsite she meant clothes pegs, not tent pegs. Doh!

Re: Spacer between headtube and bar bag?

I run a webbing strap either side of the stem down to the fork crown which usually pushes the bar bag enough forward to stop head tube rub. If it's still too close then I attach a short length of thin aluminium tube horizontally to the front of the fork crown which is then usually enough to give cle...

Re: So this is who lights fires ...

An area of pine woods I walk the dog in has about ten fire pits spread about. It gets used regularly by young uns having a fire, underage drinkers having a fire and others camping overnight and I doubt it will ever get stopped. This morning I found one with several large logs still smouldering merri...

Re: New Highway Code Changes.

I don't know if car drivers break the law more often than cyclists Apparently the percentage of vehicle users who habitually break the the law is the same no matter what vehicle they use. So if the percentage is say 30 percent then 30 percent of car drivers break the law, 30 percent of lorry driver...
