If you've got OS 217 then somewhere on top of Clee Burf (Brown Clee). Theres fresh water at The Five Springs. Takes a bit of finding!
Theres the Long Mynd. Just South of Pole Bank theres a fenced off area at Pole Cottage, right at the back is ok and theres a composting toilet!

Im currently sat at abt 400m at my favourite bivi spot overlooking Harlech Castle, Porthmadog and the Llyn Peninsula. Its a bit hazy but the sunset looks like its going to be a good one. Pasta carbonara and a big sticky cake are on the menu. And a visit to see the ospreys in the morning.

Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.
April ticked off last nite with a ride from home to Brown Clee and back. Set off yesterday afternoon and was set up by 7pm ready to watch the sunset with a brew. Sun was up again this morning and I was back home for 11am. 50mile round trip. Cracking nite, cold and breezy though!! Can't get Flickr to...

New Garmin mapping on ioffer!
I know a few folk on here have tried the budget GB Discoverer 1:50000 sd cards from ioffer.
1 of the sellers. Dazzler3693 is now doing the 1:25000 National Parks cards for £21. May be handy for the Cairngorms loops, Lakeland200 etc

Alternative to meths.
Has anyone tried bio-ethanol in their stoves. They are selling it in Go Outdoors as a gel or liquid as an alternative to meths. No smoke, no smell, clean pans!!! I've had a quick search online and it is supposed to be as good as meths. Anyone used it??
