Re: Making it easier for the boy

My two have ridden 650b since they were 10 and 12 on their 13.5 and 15inch frames.

They never had 26" going straight up from 24" -soon I will need to consider what they get next (probably rebuilt frames that I still have from my bikes in the shed!)

Edit - just realised it's my daughter's housewarming party that weekend.

Unfortunately she bought a house in London rather than up north or I'd have tried to juggle something:/

Re: Fitting a roll on this??

My handlebar and control setup means that a roll currently squashes all the cables and thus restricts bar movement. will take a pic with bag mounted in current config when i can. Ah - so probably not the handlebar or levers themselves that are this issue but the length of your cables. When I had my...

I like the books A bike ride by Anne Mustoe and also Alistair humphries two books (the names escape me atm!). Both went around the world different ages and routes but both inspiring stories with lots of insight into what to take

Re: What books are you reading?

Really enjoyed both Orwell's down and out in Paris and London and also the road to Wigan pier, both really capture a sense of the time and societies they were written about but not sure which I'd say was my favourite.

The numbers are ages btw - and in decathlon world the kids are small. Neither my short 24 year old or my tall 12 year old can fit in many things that are a decathlon size 14 these days

Are you mended and fully cleared for action now Wenchie? I have managed a few long rides, 100+ over weekends and seem ok. Still getting weird numbness and weakness at times but I don't think I'm making it worse. The neurosurgeon(spine mechanic) says I should take it steady and be wary of my symptom...

A colleague of mine cured hers with some orthotics that held her foot at 90° during the night. She found if her feet relaxed and the toes pointed her feet were particularly painful. I have dodgy pains in my feet which the gp thought may be PF but the neurologist is convinced it's just more myelopath...

I shall be pitching myself up for the scales soon. A couple of bust weekends, eating out too much and making too much icecream may have had a detrimental effect :/
