Re: Weigh-in List ... IS HERE

Well im in at 58.5 which looked like a little over middle of the field. I did have a camera, camcorder and mini tripod in that though :) and I actually dropped a few things before the start (after the weigh in). I never took the camcorder in the end. Other than that I only had about 1lb of food left...

Re: Bottles and muddy conditions

MAN TF UP :D

Rub the top off with a glove/hand/jersey, give it a little squirt to clear the inside of the cap and rub again to get the most out of the wasted fluid. Should be clear enough now to drink out of.

Alt. us one with a cap.

Schwalbe Smart Sam - 29er x 1.6 (700x40)

Pair of Shwalbe Smart Sam tyres sized as listed but they actually measure out at 42c.

Excellent tread pattern, high volume. Great Monster Cross tyre saw me through the WRT.

Only used on the WRT and a short commute so less than 100 miles on these.

£30 posted.

Re: water filter

Depends what you want out of it. there is a difference between filtration and purification, both have their way of doing things. I sometimes carry a Nature-pure 1st need filter which does everything. Its not light though at around 500g but I have filtered water here in the UK and while travelling th...

This does seem odd. Im guessing it has something to do with US law and recalling the whole product.

Looks good Stu.

I used a Mountain equipment Paclite Goretex jacket. Its an old one (Matrix) but worked faultlessly.

For those conditions you really need a proper Event/Gore jacket.

Mini? It was 8 minutes and used all but 2-3 of my clips. I thought it was on the 'epic' side ;)
