Sevylor Colorado Inflatable Kayak
Selling our little used inflatable as we are leaving the UK next year. Its a bit too big to take with us in the land rover so it has to go. These are some of the best inflatables around (along with Stearns) and will not only handle flat water but rivers and a little white water also. Have a google a...

Re: Insecurity = Heavy Bike?
this thinking can be carried to all aspects of spending time outdoors. I have done a fair bit of packpacking now so the transition to bikepacking was not that great, just a few extra bits etc. I think I travel reasonably light with not so expensive or uber light gear (medium grade reliable robust st...

Re: attaching stuff to forks
Stuart - have you ever had any problems with dry bags being punctured by thorns/gorse etc while riding - was thinking about putting my wee airic sleeping mat on one leg but worried it will be a bit exposed there.. Never had any trouble with thorns etc but I have rubbed holes in the dry bags before....

Re: Welsh Ride Thing 2012
Looked at the 40c Smart Sams, but the SB8s are 200g lighter each. :D Yes but lower volume like the maxxis Mudwrestlers (35) Im running about on now (340g?). I used these on the M&B but wanted something a little bigger for the WRT. are small blocks going to be grippy enough when you find mud? G

Re: Welsh Ride Thing 2012
what bike you taking Chris? Cotic Roadrat . I was going to use Bontrager XRs (46mm) but there's not enough clearance if it's mucky. Yay! Another 700c ;) I couldn't find any 1.8 Jones cheap enough so I went with 40c Smart Sams. Was tempted by 45c but they measure in at 47 which probably wouldn't fit...

Re: Anyone use a tent while bikepacking?
I like tent. Tent offers much better protection, the blurring line is when does a tarp setup become a tent? I'm awaiting some gear to try and improve the tarp experience. Issue now being faced is bike packing with a partner she isn't over keen on the seperate sleeping setups, a well designed two pe...

Re: Camp to ride or ride to camp?
Camping for me.
'The riding is only half the fun' :D
I dont see the camping as neccesity, I look forward to it. I also prefer to lay in and camp about an hour before sun-set. no dawn till dusk here! I have done my time racing around, its time to relax and enjoy.

...... these are footpaths right? ------ and these are bridalways? Yes but also look out for black dashes, as they indicate that there's actually a track on the ground. A green dash alone does indicate a ROW but there might not be anything to follow ;) Yes but dont get them confused with county bou...
