Hi all,
Sorry for the long radio silence. I've been rubbish. I still have these wheels, but I've not followed up because I couldn't make up my mind about whether or not I should repurpose the hubs on some 29" rims.
I've finally decided to sell them.
A few notes about the rear wheel:
1. I don't think it can be used 11 speed as it's not the 40T version (explanation
here). This would be good for any 26ers out there still running 10 speed.
2. Just the other day I removed the freehub for a clean and service and I noticed that the round black seal appears to have worn a groove in the anodise around the freehub body, possibly because it was not seated properly and spinning around? The bearings are all good and hub still works great, but I think that the seal will be less effective at keeping grit out. See photos
here.
I can sell the rear wheel as it is and you can ride it or replace the freehub yourself for around £60 if it wears out further. Alternatively, I can replace the free hub for you to save you the hassle and add that cost onto the wheel.
Both wheels have the usual cosmetic scratches on the decals, etc from rocks flying up (as can be seen in
the photos);
Both wheels come with 9mm QR adaptors, but can also be used with thru axles;
The front is 32 spoke QR15 and the rear is 135x12;
Both are 6 bolt rotor mount;
The 9mm QR skewers in the photos can be included if you want them; They are nothing fancy.
I am based in Henley on Thames if you fancy collection I will knock of £10 per wheel for shipping.
Also, save a tenner if you buy them together.
Here are the prices I am hoping for
inc shipping:
* Rear wheel sold as is (with wear on freehub body) = £60
* Rear wheel with brand new freehub = £120
* Front wheel (PD-8X on 26" Arch EX) = £140
* Both wheels together as is (with wear on freehub body) = £190 (save £10)
* Both wheels together (new freehub) = £250 (save £10)
