You've gotta come to (a) pick your bell up and (b) demand money off people with the threat of dwarf jokes if they don't enter the sweepstake ... very nice prize lined up for that too :-bd

Where is the start/finish ?

Fancy this, but know nothing about it. Is it suitable for slow n unfit solo riders, as well as super fast bike fairies ?

Sarah, its as fast or slow as you want. The most uncompetitive bike event you will find - talked about for months by those who have done it (and dreamt about by those of us who aren't able to as we have family stuff to do on bank holidays).

Do it, you will enjoy it.

Thanks. Looks good. 3 hour drive. Anyone want a lift from Preston or along M6 etc.

Guess I may need to review my 'don't drive for longer than I do' rule! And get fit.

Simply substitute 'ride' for 'out' and you'll be well within limits

Go for it Sarah,
You can join up to Reg's BHC (Broken Hearts Club, or whatever he's calling it this week!) Pace is sociable, company is always good and a chance to ride with likeminded nutters in some great surroundings! What more can you want?
Hopefully see you then.
Adam.

The beauty is Sarah that it is your ride.
You'll get a set of Ordnance Survey grid points before the event along with the start/finish location. The rest is up to you; you can visit all/none/as many of/as few of the grid points as you want by whatever route you plan and at whatever speed you choose! You can ride solo, ride with friends, join a group and make new friends; again, it's entirely up to you. You can set out from the start whenever you want after the start time and return whenever you want within the allotted event time. There is absolutely no pressure on you to do anything other than what you choose!

If only the rest of life were so simple...

Hi Sarah

I might need a lift if I don't sort out a car by then.
Can I reserve a pick up from Aintree NE Liverpool please

No problems, I'll let you know nearer the time.
