Hello All
I'm trying to organise a trip to do the Alpes-Provence route in June (around the 10th). It's quite remote and logistically tricky to get to and from, but a beautiful part of France and one of the best long-distance routes.
Anyone interested in doing it? It would be a lot easier as a group.
Here are some details:
Starts at the franco-italian border
300KM
10,235m of ascent, 11,894 of descent

There a few possible options, from completely independent to B&Bs with luggage transport.

Re: Alpes-Provence June 2017
I did sections of the Alpes-Provence route in August 2014, there was lots of excellent riding and spectacular scenery. Traversing that region there is also the Trans-Verdon route which you could use to make a big loop. I started from Manosque and made smaller loops using the Alpes-Provence and Trans Verdon routes linked with a section of the Chemins du Soleil which runs between the two. Did two tours back to back, a five day loop and an eight day loop. Logistically much easier than a point to point route. Highly recommended.
