Can also recommend Tarn Foot Farm at Loughrigg Tarn for camping if you're that way inclined. Basic site but excellent. No shortage of great spots locally to bivvy though.

Sounds perfect for a newbie such as I! As does an evening ride out to the Hawkeshead Brewery for dinner, then a bit of wild camping on Saturday night...

Kinda tempted to head up for this.
Just need to work out a half decent bivi spot.

Paging Chew.... planning on being at this and joining your ride in from Oxenhope station on Friday afternoon. Anyone got any definite bivi plans for Saturday?

Anyone planning to head out for some evening group rides? I'm going to order a ticket on payday and head up for it. Would be good to head out to the pub for a bite and pint and then divvy somewhere if anyone else is up for it? Would rather spend money on food and beer than campsite fee's anyway…

Yes. All planned, just someone needs to pull their finger out and post something up......A few things going on at the moment, but expect something within a couple of weeks.

Various plans for heading out into the hills on saturday night, so just find us when you're there. You cant plan adventure

Sounds good -- just wanted to check something wasn't happening so I wouldn't head out alone unnecessarily :-bd

My lot down this way are being rather boring and not heading up for it

For some reason (probably age), I thought I was doing Sat and Sun but no ... and with just an hour allocated, it'll have to be a fairly brief look at the world of shelters and such. I'm sure no one will mind me over running

They should have you doing the stove bit? Were they scared the insurance wouldn't cover pyrotechnics?

The video clip on the website is nice ; ) Wondered where that came in until I saw Bombtrack listed as a sponsor.

As far as I'm aware it's all systems go Tony.

It also transpires that I shall be upsetting people on Sunday afternoon too :-bd

Yes and probably yes  My 'stove antics' are always popular at the Alpkit BSO.
