Prepare to be trendy in 2017.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

I'm very excited as I'm sure you will be too, when you discover that according to Lonely Planet ... next year, we're going to be (a bit) trendy. It's the first time in my life that this has ever happened and I'm really looking forward to it and all it entails.

One of the things that Lonely Planet mentioned as a reason for choosing North Wales as one of their top ten regions to visit next year, was the abundance of cycle routes there. In fact, the staff at Lonely Planet have identified ‘bike packing’ as a mini-trend for next year

However, I do have a few reservations as judging by the pictures, it would appear that I might be going about this 'bikepacking' thing the wrong way. What with carrying things other than a bobble hat, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

I'd love to know when a 'mini-trend' tips over into being a 'trend'

might we be a mini trend in 207 then a full on trend in 2018 or will we just be old (bobble) hat by then...?
Not so much a gravel grinder.... more a gravel (mud and tarmac) groveller...

Did they grab the nearest two supermarket bikes they could find? I wouldn't expect them to survive a single trip in the wilds of mid-Wales.

they are probably on a #micro-adventure because #outsideisfree :???:

Stu you have it as a swear word, amazing! "micro-adventure" (as one word or non-hyphenated) becomes short ride
