It's doubtful I'll be in attendance unless my disposition changes between now and then ... but have fun.

Shame we couldn't persuade you Stu - it's one of the few times we actually get to sit and enjoy your company rather than being sent off into the wild by you :)

A suggestion has been made to see about booking a bunkhouse in the peak (white) somewhere.

Happy to organise this if people can show who would be interested - this would be on the night of the 28th. . . If we can't fill a bunkhouse it may still be a Welsh bothy :)

Happy to do bunkhouse or bothy. Only the crucial bits missing now...where is the start line and what time should we be there?

Booking a bunkhouse will require a certain number of definite takers, so far there is

Definites-
Me
Taylor
Scattamah
Burty (hasn't expressed view on a bh though)

Likely-
Blackhound
Wotsits (probably arriving after everyone else has gone to sleep - like some weird belated santa)

Not possibles -
Chew (would a bunkhouse closer to you make it possible Chew?)

So - at this rate the planning may consist of giving a bothy name and letting you all decide on your own route there. In the past we've set of from BB towers but Stu is hibernating until the winter event so that won't happen

ione the royal oak at hurdlow has bunk houses that cater from 1-36 peeps £15 a night in low season they do really good food and nice beer some local, they have an information page if you put royal oak hurdlow,
it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.

I didn't realise they had a bunkhouse. Javi and I had some excellent food there whilst trundling around the Peak 200 earlier this year - most accommodating for a couple of rather mucky cyclists :-bd

I should be available for whatever is organised. I want to do a one hundred mile ride before the end of the year so I would be riding there and probably arriving in the late evening. I only have a couple of spare days so would fit this in. Bunkhouse might be better than a bothy as I can use my road bike but can fit around.

I stayed in Bamford a few years ago:

Hurdlow sounds good though.

OK, given the timing and the difficulties in getting confirmation in numbers booking etc over the next few days I have decided on the bothy option.

Will be a bothy in Elan valley, confirm on here if you are coming and I will send you some more details :)

I'll be riding in from Rhayader, leaving about 12.30-1pm arriving dusk-ish.
Might not be the most direct route though.
