Strangely I'm dot watching as well but for SteveH who is riding the length of Cataluña using the CAT700 route, dropped him off in the Pyrenees earlier today.

I assume that's been split into legs somehow? Looks very cool.

Fecking rally has diverted me off route. So no official completion for me. Will probably crack on for the rest of weekend and get pissed tomorrow night as it is my 50th.
Pretty chuffed with 100 miles yesterday over some seriously challenging terrain.

Cheers all. Decided to meet helen in Llantrwd Wells and call it a day there. Last nights push down the Doethe valley will never be forgotten. I went beyond swearing into the realms of a weird sense of calm that if I could tolerate this then nothing old age could throw at me would ever be a problem.
Really chuffed with two ton days in October. Maybe should have gone earlier in the year wirh more light and less ground water.

Good going Dave, well done. Don't forget that the Doethie Valley is classic singletrack if you read MBR......

A bloomin' good effort for the time of year Dave. The Doethie Valley needs a good dry spell to be appreciated.

Re: Dotwatching with Dave (F*****g) Barter
They were racing above Mach on Saturday. Lots of signage mentioning Wales GB rally and some of the scariest engine sounds I'd ever heard. The closure signs said until 23:59 on Saturday so I could have waited for 12 hours ... I normally breeze through road closure notices but that seems a little irresponsible with rally cars hooning around the place.Ian wrote:Thought the rally was next weekend?Dave Barter wrote:Fecking rally has diverted me off route. Haven't done it for a while, but it's usually better in the spring. The approach to the farm used to be up the stone track, but was diverted a couple of years ago.Dave Barter wrote:I was earworming that the whole way down.
