Fitz is seeking medical attention for something (not life threatening) apparently.

So I've been away for a few days and not had signal/internet for a lot of it. I took the opportunity whilst bivvying/camping on the beach to read joining the dots.

So here I am checking the race progress - and I'm just blown away. That's ridiculous  :geek:  Image

I thought I was going to be in for a few days of watching the final bit of dot watching when I got back, but it appears I've logged on just in time to see the first dot home!

Top riding (and commiserations to anyone who's had to bail - but thanks for the instagram photos Gabes!)

Really enjoying the following and dot watching. The bar has been raised with some exceptional riding and endurance. Hoping Fitz can still make it / limp home.

I'm sure he's only trying to turn into a 3-way race for 3rd place

From his twitter it sounds like he's had a proper crash or summat like.

He's on about hobbling to the finish, still hoping for sub 4 days,

Oh no, just read Ian's tweets. Such bad news. Hope he is okay to get to the finish. He's killing his time from last year.

Truly outstanding ride from Neil.

Sorry to hear Ian needs medical treatment - given he's a trained in medical stuff (nurse/ paramedic?), it must be serious enough for him to seek attention.

Stellar stuff! Eager to see how Phil A. is doing, but quite clear what's going on there. Just two options left...
Also Jenny G. When will she finish? Sub 5 easy doable from where she is now. A good nights sleep and one big push with a few long breaks can see her through for sub 5 d.
Alan G. on his last years pace? Amazing how consistent he rides. Inspiring too.

Followed Oli H. on his ITT last year and thought he did really well and took his time kind of as a goal. And now... he's flying! :-bd good stuff.

They are all people like you and me. We're all capable of stuff like this.

No matter what Ian F. makes out of his situation, his ride will not be forgotten and I too hope he takes the time he needs and is healthy enough to roll to Tyndrum.
