Hi Stu,

I am still planning for Nant Rhys on Saturday night, but I suppose I need to stay tuned on the weather, per Ian's report. It's probably doable either way but might mean a road section back on Sunday if the snow has turned to a mud slushy. I love riding in snow (I come from the Cascades, WA State), but Ian's right that it will basically half the daily kms.

I actually have the Monday off work as well so could stay another night, but I could do with getting home Sunday evening for various reasons.

Cheers,
Lars

Looks like i'm going to have to give this a miss.
I just received a start date of Monday the 25th.

At least it's a job in the bike trade

Thanks Andy for the offer of a lift, would have been a good weekend.

Some photos from last weekend with Andy L and Scott (Scatta). It rained a bit, but it was not too cold. We had the bothies to ourselves and plenty of firewood/coal. Some really nice sections the routes from Ian and Stu. Thanks for all the tips!

Nice one Lars...a good pictorial there. Thanks for posting that up. Mrs Scattamah did indeed have nice things to say about that camera too.

Great riding with you Scott. Thanks for your tips for adjusting the route. That 'golf course descent' into Rhayader was ace. Someone has tagged it with a different name on Strava. Still curious where the golf course is! ;-)

Heh...now you have me wondering if I'm just deaf and misinterpreted "wild boars" for "golf course"...which is entirely possible given the state of my ears right now. Would someone kindly shut those bells off, please.

That piece in to Rhayader is known as the Golf Links, rather than golf course. Has been for many many years. Maybe it once was, or there were plans for it become one, but the name stuck anyway.

Glad you enjoyed the route. I had a "quick bash" round the 100 loop today. Wind, hail, slightly soft fire road :| all good training though :-bd

Ian - thanks for confirming I'm only partially retarded and my hearing, as buggered as it is, hasn't completely failed me. :)
