Are AE1's worth anything these days?

My dad has an AE1 with lenses to go with it. Last time I checked they weren't worth much but wondering if they've gone up in value, or will do at some point

A Canon AE1 is from around 1979 I think, pretty sure they were about when I bought my Olympus OM10.

Check out Ffordes who do lots of second hand camera stuff. Yeah, those minimal electronic film cameras like the Canon A series, the Olympus OM1, etc were great, virtually bombproof. (My OM1 didn't survive three months of Pakistani dust and sand though  )

I am using DropBox.
Any help?

Some lovely pics on here, good see what people are out and about seeing.

Heres one after finishing my last working day this year (which was from home, nice). Its damp out there on the ground but some rays from the sky help.

We're ok, if damp. Village is ruined. Spent yesterday digging out my local bike shop for 7 hours - pretty much everything ruined. Going to help out the local school today, then see what else we can do from there.

These shots above.
Top one was set on a tripod on a 30 second exposure while I shone my touch all over the front of the Bothy, no editing

Second shot
was set on a tripod on a bothy window sill on a 30 second exposure looking down the valley, only editing was cropping the bottom off the shot to frame it better

Were taken with my 2 year old Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX50
It's replacement is this one http://www.johnlewis.com/sony-cyber-sho ... n/p2118091

Wish I'd taken it before the photo comp closed, as I'd have put this one in, at least I'd have had Stu's vote as it's his bike in the shot
