Photos you have taken in the last month of which you like.
Title blatantly taken from a STW thread and I don't care :)

Bad santa innit.
This incarnation was smoking a fag and looking moody as flip when I took this photo.

I'd do it for you, but we've a DDoS on the external server at the moment so I can't.
Could you link the image - not the URL please.

That's all very well, but we have higher standards over hereTitle blatantly taken from a STW thread and I don't care
But anyway, a photo I have taken in the last month that I like:
Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you lik
Whether an original idea or not its still a great thread to have. nice one G
This doesn't quite capture just how amazing it was but is from a Sunday morning on mje and my little ride from BB-towers the other weekend, you know, that one that was actually cold! So, I like it because of the memory rather than been super-proud of my mad-skillz in photog'ing (to be fair a misted up phone is never going to quite measure up to the creative control that a full SLR and selection of lenses gives you.) and mist hugging the trees had more of a back lit golden hue than the phone has captured...

You'd be surprised what you can get out of an iPhone! My photo at the top was taken on an ageing iPhone 3G :)ianfitz wrote: a misted up phone is never going to quite measure up to the creative control that a full SLR and selection of lenses gives you
Phones are ace for simple point and shoot photography of static objects - it's when they start to move at any speed, or you need to get details of anything past 10m that they start to fail. As for the creativity side, that's in your head, not the object you're taking the image with.

all three of my photos up there are from an iphone6.

One from last night on a little walk up Ronas Hill in Shetland. Cold, still and pretty lovely out. Decided not to bivy so I could have some energy for a ride today.

Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you lik
It was a long and weirdly warm autumn and so I was riding my regular MTB's until a couple of weeks ago.
Here are a few shots from two rides a few days apart:
And one from a ride when winter finally arrived:
The new fatty is almost built and there's some proper snow on it's way and so I'm sure there'll be more photos to come.
(Though mine are just phone shots and not a patch of some of the lovely compositions above).
Cheers, Gairy.

I know that sunny trail well :) Did quite a bit of running up there during the summer - ace when it's warm and dry.
Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you lik
I'm not massively envious of Gairy's local spot at all, no.

It's tolerable.jameso wrote:I'm not massively envious of Gairy's local spot at all, no.
Though it's not without is drawbacks (property prices, pompous ski tourist louts, the French etc...).
Whenever anyone comes out just give me a shout as I'm always up for a ride, bivi, beer.

Nice.
It was a spectacular sunrise out by us too. I was on train with someones head in the way, felt bad pointing a camera at them, so didn't :)
