Mid Week overnight in Mid Wales in Mid November

By sheer fluke it looks like I'm going to be in Wales for a meeting, Llandrindod Wells to be precise, on Tuesday 10th November. I was therefore thinking about the following:
- park my car somewhere safe after the end of the working day
- go for a night time ride. I guess aiming to leave the car around 6.30pm
- stay at a bothy on Tuesday night
- another ride the following day, vaguely towards the car but probably slightly longer in nature
- drive home (say leaving around 3-4pm)

I appreciate it's the middle of the week so suits almost no one, but does anyone fancy joining me?

Also, does anyone have any ideas of good locations/rides? I was thinking potential bothy options were Lluest Cwm Bach, Moel Prysgau, Nant Rhys or Nant Syddion so using one of those, as well as safe parking, to create a ride

Radnor Ring loop would work from there with a little side detour to LCB. I'm also a maybe on this one.

I've now confirmed attendance at the meeting and staying in a bothy means weather is hopefully not going to stop play. So I'm full steam ahead for this, the more the merrier, but I'm happy going solo too

Annoyingly I consulted my piles of OS maps and I can't find my map of the area (even though I did a walking trip here with the dog in 2013 so I definitely have one!)

I'd also be up for Claerrdu bothy, I've not stayed at any of them

I'm up for this. Only problem is that I'll be moving house at some point in the next three months so I might have to cancel last minute.

In principle yes. I'm trying to confirm the meeting with the chap whose meeting it is, which gives me my excuse to head to Wales

Hopefully speak to him tomorrow. Then I'll know more details like timing etc

We're on, meeting definitely going ahead, though a minor change to location - it's now in Builth Wells, so a touch further away but not much. The meeting will be over around 4pm so I guess I'll be away by 4.30pm latest. So depending on location I guess it's a start time of around 5.30-6pm ish?

Yeah, I'm still good. Still moving house, but very unlikely that it's sorted before the ride so no need to worry.

Considering the start time and factoring a bothy, would it be prudent to start somewhere further north than Builth?

Definitely! Sorry, my location was more about where i'll be coming from, rather than where we need to start the ride from. I wasn't clear at all

I can drive anywhere in Mid Wales! Start location can be anywhere as long as parking is ok
