I have the older version of the Alpkit MyTi mug and would like to fit a plastic mug or cup inside it. Anyone know of one that is a good fit? Happy to carve off a handle if needs be.
I'm sure someone mentioned this in another thread but my searching didn't find anything.

I always just used to use 2 (for added strength) polystyrene cups with a wrap of gaffa tape round them. Cheap, insulated, lighter than anything else and actually last quite a while.
May the bridges you burn light your way

I just use an ordinary Ti mug. Failing that, you can generally pick up plastic mugs from supermarkets.

I just got a foldacup from a mate who's started a little web store, swedish folding mugs, pack down pretty flat, so I'm going ot have the TiMug with gas canister, stove, spork and lighter inside, and the foldacup can go in with soft goods somewhere. It'll serve as a nice sized bowl for porridge while coffee brews in the TiMug.

I use a plastic mug with the handle cut off. It's a perfect fit in a MyTimug and nice to drink from. I think it's this one, from Cotswold: http://m.cotswoldoutdoor.com/gsi-cascadian-mug-93310042

When I've tried these in the past they've always seemed too soft once hot water goes in, so are too much of a liabilitymountainbaker wrote:I just got a foldacup from a mate who's started a little web store, swedish folding mugs, pack down pretty flat, so I'm going ot have the TiMug with gas canister, stove, spork and lighter inside, and the foldacup can go in with soft goods somewhere. I nest a Snow Peak 450 inside a Snow Peak 700 for some trips, perfect fit considering the 450 has a cosy on it
Polystyrene cup with gaffa tape is a good option. A kids plastic beaker usually works fairly well - robust, unbreakable, suitable for boiling water, easy to clean, and come in many pretty colours, patterns and characters

I use a life adventure ti mug that fits nicely inside the my ti mug, ive had it years so not sure if they have changed the size in later designs. I then have my msr sto e in there packed with coffee sachets, but does mean you need to find a new home for the gas canister
