November beach bivi.
What a fantastic trip to and around Newborough Forest on Anglesey
Ok you want some details?
5 riders, Jeff, John, John, Tim and Mark arrived at the designated start point at just after 12pm on Saturday 15th November.
We had clear sky's, warm weather and a perfect forecast for the next 24 hours.
So, once loaded up with all that we needed off we went into the sun for a 24 hour beach bivi ride.
I'll let the pictures do the talking, here are my 7 favourite shots with a few words under each
1st group shot
Looking for the perfect bivi spot
Found it, followed by the best nights sleep I've ever had under canvas
Sunrise over Snowdon
Sunrise view from the "perfect" bivi spot
Perfect conditions
Morning ride to the butty van
The full set of my photos are here
https://www.flickr.com/photos/25655510@ ... 992755873/
Ride stats
Saturday - 21.3 miles
Saturday night ride beach ride - 6 miles
Sunday - 21 miles

Re: November beach bivi.
This has to be one of my best bike rides of the year, it was defiantly my best bivi ride and it wouldn't have been possible on a normal mountain bike.

currently in work with no YouTube access... can't wait to get home and watch it
thanks to Jeff for arranging the summer-like weather, perfect bivi spot, endless supply of firewood, spectacular views, fireworks, bacon butty van, para-glider flypast, micro-light flypast, sea-kayakers, wild horse stampede, access to fresh water & toilets...
Wait for me...
Re: November beach bivi.
Well that just looks rubbish, and I'm not at all gutted that I didn't make it
(in the domestic department, my lad is still pretty ill, so it was a good decision not to make the journey. As a conciliation I got out for a good ride ride on Sunday with yetiman - there was lots of bogs and fog, so a world apart from Newborough)

Have to say my legs are in bits after 4 days of fun but i blame Snowdon for that and the crap weather it chucked at me and bending my tent poles!

Love the shot with the silvery yellow light on the water. Stunning. Enjoyed the video too. Fat bike envy.
