Vanity is getting the better of me, how are people attaching cloth patches onto bags?

Looking for solutions that don’t involve stitching

Does superglue work?

Super glue would be too brittle on fabric

I've used Gütermann textile glue with good results :-bd

Bog standard silicone sealer - such as used in kitchens, bathrooms etc.

I used to use iron on patches on hill walking clothing.

Does silicone sealer mean they're easily removed with the right solvent? I was going to suggest seam grip glue but that's a permanent fix.

IME iron-on patches don't stick too well to nylon/manmade type fabrics so I'd sewn a few onto an Xpac bar bag, but the silicone sealer idea might be the way to go.

You can generally pick / peel them off James but they won't fall off.

So the silicone doesn't 'get into' the fabric too much then? Cos, you know, I need to change my patches now and then to keep up with what's cool..

How about sewing velcro on the bags and and the back of the patches like they are on military uniforms these days? You can then swap the patches to match the event you're at

These maybe...I tried a cheaper amazon/ebay alternative and it was crap, but can imagine a decent sticky one would work

How about just sticking the Velcro on?

I know, I know, but I just couldn’t resist it.

I’ll get me coat.

Is it sad but I actually like that idea  Having only a small frame pack, I can’t get many patches in, so swapping to suit the seasons would be great (yeah yeah, I hear you all sniggering over there…!)
