Rear rim issue

Iv noticed that my nipples are starting to split the rim on the rear. This is a velocity dually rim. Any recommendations for a new rim, I think this one is 29 0r 30mm. Is it best to get a rim that has nipple cups built in like on my old hope hoops?

I'm out of touch with what's decent quality these days

Ta

I wanna get a rim so I can have it built on my pro 4 hub.

I like the Kinlin TL-29.
29mm internal, eyelets, not too heavy, built up easily.

Kinlin I can confirm are really really good Mike. I've got one for the mtb (27.5 semi fat) and also built one of their road rims. Quality is really consistent and they are round and true. I'd say DT swiss quality. Plus they're not made in China (if it matters to anyone).

Yes, eyelets IMO are very important and do make a difference in pressure redistribution etc. I built em both to really high torques and yet to have a problem with either...

Hi Mike.

I use a Fun Works rim which have served me well.
Not sure where they are available after brxit, but probably are.

Stans Flow (I know a few arch's had issues, mine included) should be good.

For bigger money, Lightbicyle carbon ones are good

None have eyelets, but I havnt split rims the way you describe since the aforementioned Stans Arch.

Kinlin's look good mate and are almost the same ERD as the Dually so you xould just swap the rim and keep the spokes for an easy build.
