I need something for my elderly dachshund! He's 13 and had spinal surgery last year but is still trucking... We're heading up to Scotland next month and I need something for him so that we can cover more miles/pubs.

I was looking into this recently and was put off by the size and cost of new ones, but the M-Wave and DoggyRide Mini offerings are cheaper and smaller. For the one linked below guess you would have to buy a trailer hitch in the third link.

All the dogs I've seen towed were in covered kid trailers but there seems little difference in those meant for kids or pets. No idea how good these are but they seem a reasonable price.

I saw a few in the Fawkes sale when I was scrolling through last night, not sure on prices though

Also I think Sportpursuit might have a couple on their site at the moment

From an article here: https://bikepacking.com/gear/frances-cy ... er-review/

Sorry, probably (the info is) not of much use here in UK but an enjoyable read

Do you really need a trailer for a small dog? Why not a basket up front or on a rear rack?

Basket from Shona and Rich from Keep Peddling

With weather cover too

We also have a trailer like the one of Stuarts picture, but that bracket only fits old style quick releases, but bolt through axles like on most new bikes

Thanks for all your help on this.

I think Big Brother must be watching, as and article on this very subject has just appeared in Bikepacking.com... Anyway, that was only after my wife bought the red PawHut (above)!

That's now going back as it's way too big and heavy, so I ordered the smaller/blue version instead. Once you get your eye in it's surprising how many you see. I accosted a couple on Sunday in Bristol who were using theirs to push Kiki around...

Not used it on the bike yet but the clearance on a 29+ tyre is tight.

Hmmm, missed the bit about only being compatible with bikes with 18" to 20" wheels... How many adults bikes use that size wheel!

My dog's going to have to put up with a bucket seat as the trailer is tipping back a bit.
