Can I wish you all a New Year!! I'm reserving the Happy until I've seen how it goes.

Don’t be so pessimistic - there’s bound to be something good about it. Always look for the positive, I say. For example, the house has burnt down, but hey, all the extra heat has brought the daffodils up a fortnight early.
OT, but related - the glass half full thing - pessimist or optimist, but to an engineer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be

Mine's half full - but only because I keep spilling my life so often

Happy new year!
My daughter's chemotherapy is due to finish this year (though not until October). It's going to be a better one than 2020 and 2021 I'm sure!
