Will be listening to some Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young later.
Too many musicians from 'my' era dying lately  Last week I was remembering going to see Jeff Beck performing as part of the 'power trio' Beck Bogert and Appice at the Alexander Palace back in the early 70s; also performing were Genesis and Vinegar Joe (Robert Palmer and Elkie Brooks) although they just happened to be bonus performances, we'd gone to see Jeff
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Thanks for the reminder! And now I'm thinking of the alternative "I've got a little puppy" version I heard at some point? Possibly a Smurfs/rave crossover?

And my latest listening (before the kids/wife got hold of Spotify) was Rammstein on Dutch radio as I was driving out of center parcs.

A friend of mine put together a Spotify playlist of all the top 10 UK singles through the 1990s. There's some dross in there, but loads of excellent stuff* too.

Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon album, up loud, whilst home alone and doing my Mrs Mop impression, cooking, and now sitting down with a cuppa to finally catch up with this place.

Not seen this set of The Rezillos live at the Lyceum 1978 before, not sure why. Complete chaos, especially on Can't Stand Ma Bebe, love it. Might be a bit niche for our younger readers. Unless you're fae Fife of course  . Gaunnae go radge.

Tis so. Fay looks exactly like my mate Trev's missus, Karen. Who's a Weegie. So that's confused things even further.

Excellent. Bit of a fan. Shame they imploded. I reckon you're a dead ringer for Dave Crosby in his later years Pete  .

Also a fan of The Hollies - "great sounds that grew out of the North" - with the Nash connection.

RØDHÅD

....after seeing him play Saturday night, or rather Sunday morning, in Mannheim.

That was great, I never did that "back in the day" before I left Germany, so here I am coming back here, going to a proper German techno club, with my daughter... we really enjoyed that!!

Well, listening and watching really. Just finished the last episode of the last assignment of Sapphire and Steel. That final image of them trapped in the placeless and timeless garage gazing out of the window into space was very unsettling. From someone who has no supernatural bones in his body that really was most disturbing. Honestly, telly's rubbish now.

Listening to and watching the final of Melodifestivalen, Sweden's competition to find their entry for Eurovision. Some good performances, but Loreen has taken a very convincing win. 🎶🥳

Think I may need to pull rank on the kids for the live show in Liverpool...

Well, last night anyroad. Viv Stanshall's [posthumous] 80th Birthday Party at the Union Chapel in Islington, a majestic venue round the corner from The Garage.

Not many Bonzos left now sadly, but Legs Larry and Rod Slater managed to put in appearances. Kevin Eldon added an extra surreal note to the proceedings. Delicious chaos all round and a fantastic, nostalgic, night out.

I'm gonna get you in my tent tent tent, oh oh it's so convenient ent ent......

You all buy my records so I'd like to say, some little old cliche....

Legs Larry covered in sequins just for you...

Ooh nice one. Not been before, the architecture is impressive. Very gothic.
