Ok, so that stunning picture of Jase in Tuscany wasn't my 'official' entry (I can delete if it'll cause hassle leaving it there).

Entitled: 'how much f#©king further to the refuge'.

Taken in Italy with Richard and Craig of this parish during a quick partial Tour of Mont Blanc.

We did eventually reach the refuge and I (we?) had the most amazing wild boar ragu with polenta - bloody delicious :-bd

I like this pic of Sam and James on a very relaxed ride out last year. We stopped after 10 miles for a brew because there was a nice view to be had and were we in no hurry to be anywhere ... which is, to me, the quintessential bikepacking experience.

Would that be the Elizabetta hut Gairym?

Love that valley, but it does go on a bit

This was a main road. In Wales. In March. I was prepared to risk being uncomfortable to experience something out of the ordinary

It was indeed and the continuation of the climb afterwards isn't massively short either

Hoping to have another pop at the TMB route this summer sometime.

Post a photo here that in your mind represents the title 'Portrait of a bikepacker'. If possible, try and upload it rather than adding it as an attachment but if you must go down that route, please try and keep it small enough to prevent having to scroll.

One pic per person please but you can alter / edit your entry if you find something you prefer.

We'll keep things open for a couple of weeks then sort out some voting and I'll find the winner something nice.
