Forecast of 28° reminds me of a Trailquest I organised from Nant Yr Arian, back when they were 5 hour events. Laid on extra water stops at checkpoints as it was about 30° one rider went missing and eventually turned up about 2 hours late suffering from heat stroke and looking like a lobster. He'd taken his shirt off and was riding in just bib shorts, not a good look. He was a GP by the way.
