Salsa anything dry bag alternative
Morning all
I've just bought a couple of Salsa Anything HD cages for the forks on my Rooster ready for Cairngorms Loop in May again , looking at the salsa dry bags and they seem fairly steep in price for what they are , are people using an alternative ? Obviously needs to be waterproof and around 5 ltrs in size
Cheers

Gorilla Cage dry bag? http://www.cyclemiles.co.uk/shop/access ... qjU3p-nzMI
Still quite expensive though.
Otherwise any dry bag such as Alpkit, etc.

Just a thought, haven’t tested the idea; however, how about an exped dry bag?

I spotted PlanetX have some 5L Pod drybags that look like they'd be ideal.

Did you miss the bit where the Salsa ones were thought to be too expensive?

I use the Alpkit bags with little loop things on the sides to attach. They aren't fully dry anymore, duct tape patches, but I just pack carefully.....

The Decathlon "Itiwit" 5L ones are great, perfect size for a Blackburn cage so assume they would work in the Salsa ones too.

Had a couple of the podsac delivered yesterday after Stu told me about them , they are really well built delivery for some reason was next day and for a fiver each I'm well chuffed ,if you absolutely stuff them they are a little too wide for gorrilas cages but I can get a helium bivy ,exped down mat lite ,and DD superlight s tarp in one with no problems
