I'm interested in which dry bags people use, what they think of them and main reasons for choosing them?

same as FF but I have a couple of Sea to Summit ones as I liked the green colour

I mainly use alpkit ones. I really like the earlier ones that were a heavier duty fabric, like xt's, but without all the add ons. Only recently got some XTs and they seem nice enough.

I don't especially like the thin plastic stiffener in the lighter weight sacks. Quite a few of mine have snapped and started to poke thru the thinner fabric.

Also used overboard bags which are much heavier duty and pricier. Their windows are handy when ferkling around in the bottom of the bigger sizes searching for stuff.

I've been using an Alpkit Airlok Xtra on the front for quite a while, though now I have a custom cuben dry bag that will hopefully replace it. Other than that, I've just picked up a load of smaller cuben dry bags (all from Zpac ks) to hold various items and to use in the Tiger at the back.

The Airlok Xtra seems to be a good mix of light weight, durability, and cheapness, and the sewn in loops have been handy for extra security when lashed to the handlebars. I'm not 100% convinced of it's water-tightness though as I've found some dampness inside the bag on a couple of occasions. Could have been user error I suppose, or maybe it's just wearing out.

THe Pod Event drysac also looks worth a look - I'll have to pay them another visit!

I have some OD ones. Got a Gortex bottom which makes them easier to get the excess air out of the bag. Had them for years. Think i got them from Backpacking light.

Got some really bomber Ortlieb ones - guaranteed for 5yrs
Could probably go lighter, but as used for other duties then need something robust

Exped - They were the first ones I ever bought and I haven't had to buy any since. They sit in the bottom of my pack while mountain biking, keep important items dry while bikepacking and look like new after putting them through the wash. They might not be the lightest, but they're not heavy either...I'll buy the same again when my current ones wear out and that should be a while yet!
