I do leave it behind for some one as soon as finished, but i haven't gone so far as to tear out pages as i read them, be no point leaving it for others then

I may not have seen as many films as you, but I can do a lot better than rolled socks for entertainment. Best add a tube of wasabi to the list.

Been on several trips on Spanish Camino routes last three years and used a hammock, now that is comfort. Sleep better than at home! Recommended. Makes a good chair too. Have swapped tarp for a DD one so if there's nowhere to hang hammock that can be set up in a variety of ways. Hammock can also double as a bivvy bag.

Getting better at this lightweight mullarky having done several trips and learnt the hard way lugging 20kg of gear in 40 degree heat, makes for an arduous 'holiday'.

Had been carrying a lightweight tent too that came in at a kilo, but a load of lightweight gear still equals a big load! Stopped that

Still don't mind carrying a bit of weight and being comfortable.

Got an evergreen titanium DX meths stove which is good, but discovered a good little esbit titanium one that's even lighter that uses the fuel tablets, £11 and weighs 12g - pretty robust and works really well. Nice having a hot meal, and a brew/coffee.

The lifeventure down sleeping bags are really excellent, cheap, light and pack small

Just how much heat do you think solid fiel produces Michael In reality, as long as supports are placed with a degree of thought, they're fine.

I take a canon 5D mk4 with a 24-105 f4 and a 16-35 f2.8 (or 11-24 f4) and a tripod when hiking ....main reason I hike and wild camp is to go landscape photographing.
the 5D mk4 was a weight saving purchase , I took a Canon 1DX to Iceland prior to owning the 5D

however, for bikepacking bought a Canon G7 mk2; now, in coming down from the 5D mk4 I am fairly impressed.
